Apple recently announced the near-completion of its $5 billion campus, Apple
Park. The 175 acres of parkland in Silicon
Valley boasts an incredible 2.8 million-square-foot building, which is powered
100 percent with renewable energy.
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett more
than doubled his holdings in Apple to 133
million shares. That adds up to about $17
billion worth of Apple’s stock.
This incredible new product on Kickstarter allows you to safely throw your GoPro
through the air and capture all kinds of cool aerial footage. All you have to do is place
your GoPro inside AER’s protective shell (which is essentially a giant foam dart), and
then throw it through the air. It will gracefully soar through the air snapping photos
and video along the way. AER adds a whole new element to a game of catch.
What better way to find your soulmate
than to bond with them over your
mutual hatred of things like fedoras,
carpool karaoke, and slow walkers? If
this dating style sounds like your cup of tea (assuming
you don’t hate tea), then this is the app for you. Hater is
a dating app that matches you with other users based
on the things you both hate. Much like Tinder, swiping
to the left or right to selects people you’re interested in.
Many people struggle with social anxi-
ety. If your hang-ups are of the milder
variety and you’d like to try something
new, then this might be the app for
you. Steps offers a variety of challenges in the spirit of
helping push you outside of your comfort zone, ranging
from mildly terrifying tasks such as buying a stranger
coffee, to unbearably awkward tasks such as request-
ing a job as head chef at a top-dollar restaurant. Steps
doesn’t promise to cure your anxiety, but it may help
you realize that you are more capable than you think.
If you live in a big city, then you likely
see homeless people in need on a daily
basis. Oftentimes, you may want to
help out, but feel reluctant to hand over
cash. This Philadelphia-based organization’s app allows
users to make donations to homeless individuals who
have signed up for the program. A specialist works with
homeless clients to determine what they need. You can
donate to items on their wishlists via the StreetChange
app; once enough money is gathered, the individual can
pick the item up directly from StreetChange.
WHAT’S HOT IN THE APP STORE
