I Asked a S;ang; to Lunch
I was playing on my phone in the hallway outside the bathroom at work, waiting for my business partner so we could go to
lunch. When he came out, I started walking alongside him, matching his pace as we walked toward the door. “Where should we
go for lunch?” I asked him. He didn’t respond. I looked up, only to find that in fact it was a woman who worked in our building
(and who I’d never spoken to) who I was talking to and walking with. We said nothing as I shuffled sheepishly back to the bathrooms to await my business partner.
